Our commitment to the environment
"Since 2015, Thompson Emergency Freight Systems has been giving back to the environment through their Book a Load... Plant a Tree program. Each time a delivery is booked through Thompson’s online portal, they contribute to the planting of native trees by Forests Ontario, a leading charity dedicated to the creation, restoration, and maintenance of forest and grassland habitats. Thompson’s annual contribution to Forests Ontario, and their national division Forest Recovery Canada, ensures we continue to have healthy, resilient forests for generations to come.
While the trucking industry relies heavily on fossil fuels that emit GHGs like CO2, Thompson’s commitment to growing our forested landscapes is an excellent example of how businesses can take action and do their part to help address the challenges of climate change. The trees planted with Thompson’s support will not only absorb carbon throughout their lifetimes, but will also help clean our water, provide habitat for wildlife, and improve the health and biodiversity of local environments."
